Alive and kicking 28 apr 2005 staff
We’ve suffered major hosting problems recently, and some data was irreplacibly lost, but thankfully, almost everything is recovered from back-ups. Today, with help of S.Konyshev, we’re online again!

Please hurry up and join coming event, and don’t forget to re-send your hlvc replays, just to be sure!

Skins and avatars should be uploaded again.

Sorry for inconvinience, but force-majeour circumstances can’t be completely evaded.

Event format 15 apr 2005 staff
Forthcoming season will has the following restrictions, along with the main regulations.

Qualifying
Qualifying is held with low wind.
Qualifying consists of one warm-up and one flying lap for each racer. Every division’s racers are divided to two equal groups. First group qualifies first. Each racer of the group starts from pit-lane (join from spectator mode) and goes to warm-up/flying laps. Next racer starts 10 seconds after previous racer left pit lane. Order of joining is determined by pre-qualifying! After completion of the flying lap each racer must park his car in a safe place.
If racer is crashed on warm-up lap, he isn’t allowed to restart his lap.
Tyre warm-up maneuvres on warm-up lap (drifting, extreme braking, etc) are prohibited, just drive as fast as you can!
Amount of qualifying fuel is unrestricted.

Race
Race is held with low wind.
At least one pit stop is obligatory. Choose any moment you want (except last lap!), but you must stop in the pits.
Be extremly careful with others, it's very important since your and opponent's cars can be badly damaged.
"Reset car" feature (R hotkey) is not allowed. For example, if you flipped your car, or stuck far in the sand, that basically means you are out of the race.
Pitting (shift+S hotkey) is prohibited. You can either park your car in a safe place, of disconnect.

Please follow these rules and have fun!

Check your clock! 14 apr 2005 staff
As we’re getting many questions about site’s time system, we decided to give some details on it.

When you are not logged in, all time/date values are shown using GMT+3 Moscow time.

When you are logged in, site adjusts all its time/date values using "Time Zone" and "Location" data which you must set in your profile. "Time Zone" must be set as your area timezone, without daylight saving hour. If you’re unsure what timezone to set, check what timezone is chosen in your windows date/time setup dialogue. In "Location" drop-down box choose your general area of residence. This parameter is used to automatically calculate daylight saving.

After making adjustments, please check if your computer clock readings are equal to site clock (you can find it below the calendar on the right). If clock values are not equal, go to your profile and correct "Time Zone" value again.

S2 Alpha Cup launch 09 apr 2005 staff
Hello racers! After a very long break, A-Spec Racing Club resumes its work!

Earlier this week we all encountered all-of-sudden LFS S2 alpha demo release, which kept us busy in recent evenings :) So, to make more of the demo enjoyment, we are launching S2 Alpha Cup.

Why do we need this "alpha" season? With S2 release tons of new feautures are going to be introduced, and we must get a good grip of what to expect. Alpha demo fits perfectly to this purpose.

S2 Alpha Cup will consist of four races straight and backwards on Blackwood GP track, two events in FR cars and two in T. Why are we dropping out rally track? Answer is simple: it is sad, but demo got excessive tyre wear on rally surfaces.

The season in the face of first race starts in april 15, 22:00 GMT+3.

Basic rules for the season are (in addition to standard club’s regulations):
1. At least one pit stop is obligatory. Choose any moment you want, but you must stop in the pits.
2. Be extremly careful with others, it’s very important since your and opponent’s cars can be badly damaged.
3. "Reset car" feature (R hotkey) is not allowed. For example, if you flipped your car, or stuck far in the sand, that basically means you are out of the race.
4. Pitting (shift+S hotkey) during race is prohibited.

To qualify for the signed race, you must supply your hlvc hotlap. Since LfsWorld doesn’t support S2 demo hotlaps (yet?) you have to send them manually to volk. Be sure to mention your lfs/lfsworld nick name in mail body!

Remember you have to pass through club’s registration procedure if you’re not registered. General site questions are answered in faq section.

Good luck and have fun!
