Race 7, Bye-bye, Jamaica reviewed
This time qualification session didn’t went so smooth, racers started qualifying in reversed order compare to pre-qualification grid. Even a gap in 10 seconds at the begining of the session didn’t help much. Basicaly slower racers had to let the others pass in a middle of session and the fast ones had to manage how to go through the grid and still have a clean lap time. So at the end of qulifying almost everyone ran out of time and still havent done their hot-laps.
Race start was quite predictable, first two positions at the start was keeped by team AERO with their RB4’s. RRT.BlicKrig with RB4 also was 4th right behind ocr|Bikes’s GTT. RRT BlicKrig actualy overtook ocr|Bikes when lights went green, but when he approached aero:von_Neumann, he touched him and ocr|Bikes took his position back. Otherwise the start went good, almost everyone except frik managed to get through twisty T1 clearly side by side with opponent’s cars.
Frik makes error in the chicane and one more in the exit to back-straight and thus becomes 9th. Then he recovered and approached Ant who couldn’t keep up with FXO’s top speed. That dissadvantage costed him a position.
At the same time ocr|Bikes took second position from aero:von_Neumann.
On 2nd lap RRT.smith using a better raceline overtook his teammate RRT.BlicKrig.
Frik finaly got his chance to attack [dSRC]hackerx on lap 4. Looks like there could be an accident, but [dSRC]hackerx handled his RB4 good.
Once again frik mistakes on lap 5 so [dSRC]hackerx and Ant passed him by.
On lap7 frik makes very agressive attack to AtomAnt, frik nearly took him out but luckily AtomAnt stayed on track, in fact it’s frik who goes off the track as the result of being too agressive. Frik chased Ant for 8 laps and on lap 15 he makes his move and becomes 8th.
There was a really hard battle between race leader aero:Palich and ocr|Bikes, on lap 16 ocr|Bikes tried to overtake the leader in twisty turn but they both nearly lost their cars. Looks like aero:Palich lost his concetration and he makes couple of errors in fast turns. They going hood to hood with ocr|Bikes, however aero:Palich remains first. Big pressure though.
And on lap 17 leader change. aero:Palich makes huge error and ocr|Bikes easely goes past. He is the leader now. At nearly the same time RRT.smith overtook aero:von_Neumann due to last one’s chicane mistake and become 3sd.
Frik becomes 7th on lap 18.
On the last laps aero:von_Neumann approached RRT.smith and chased him closely, but couldn’t pass him.

ocr|Bikes:
My quali was totally messed up. I came to the server 10 mins before the race and my momo racing was playing with me irritating games, had to unplug and plug the pedals quite a few times. So before the quali i had 80% of brake power and i was really carefull when i had to brake. And then it was quali time, my brakes were at 100% again, so i had to find the ideal brake power again, when finally i was on a quite fast lap suddenly there was someone in the middle of the road (probably he crashed), so i couldnt
finish my hotlap and what was worse than that, that i couldnt catch the next lap cause i ran out of time. BBBuuut,
the
race was extremely exciting, this was my first time racing in GTT and i couldnt practise for this race thats why i was looking forward a tough race. So my first few laps were about to find ideal lines and speed. I had a damn good fight with Von Neumann, when i finally overtook him i started to run stable 1,24 times. By this time Palich got a big adventage (around 5 seconds), but the gap seemed to shrink in every single sector. The only sector where he was faster is the last one, because in rb4 you can rush through the chicane at 140km/h, in GTT its impossible because you would prolly lose control and spin out. I have been chasing him for about 6-7 laps when i finally cought his ass, we had some slight contacts but i think we both were clean, he won that battle but after some more laps of chasing after the long straight in the tricky right-hander he lost control and crashed into the wall. Thats pity because i would have chased him gladly for the next ~ 6 laps. My last laps were pretty good i was doing mid 24’s and it seemed Palich is losing more and more time. Something was happening to him in the last laps because he pulled awful times, altough he was fast during the race. Alltogether i had a very exciting race, i made 3 new pb’s and my first ever GTT win. Thank you guys :)
aero:Palich:
Exactly as i expected main battle for me was with ocr|Bikes. He drove very stable and very fast, especialy keeping in mind that he’s got not much experience with GTT. However i drove realy worse than i could, i’ve "lost" first sector and generally pulled a bad laptimes. Here is what i feel about the accident on lap 16: In turn after the bridge ocr|Bikes suddenly dissappeared from my mirror and he took an inside radius. I left a bit of space for him there and it looked like he didn’t get the advantage to overtake me... I wasn’t sure weather he decided to let me go ahead, or decided to keep his position at the inside radius. I started to go smoothly back to my race-line and that’s when i cutted off ocr|Bikes sending him off the track. Anyway i’ve made a big mistake on next lap and ocr|Bikes took the lead.
RRT.smith:
Free practice didnt betoken any big troubles, but the feeling was delusive. During qualification brake pedal felt somewhat strange, but I didnt attach any meaning to this, although this feeling wasnt virtual, and my qual lap times sucked.
Race start went good, as I could keep up after fighting von_Neumann and BiKES, until on 4th lap brake pedal spring completely broke (pedal simply almost didnt have almost any returning force).. Pace began increasing, as I was loosing two seconds per lap, I even wanted to abandon race. But in a few laps I got used to changes and kept driving as steadily as I could (with slow laptimes though), what definitely helped me to gain 3rd place.
RRT.BlicKrig:
It was great race for me! In qual i was faster than RRT.smith ( thx his pedal ;) ) and it`s achievement for me. Than i have unlucky start and i regret about this. I had only one serious mistake and it`s rather good. In general i did everything in my power.
RRT.VOLK:
I was dissapointed during the qualifyng, because basicaly on all my fast laps I had to let faster racer go ahead. the rest of laps i’ve messed up my self. Anyway I knew that I most likely will not get something more than 6th position in the race. RRT.BlicKrig was at least 1 second faster. Good race though.

That was fun, Had Frik up my tail pipe for the first few laps, then again after he spun out. Not happy with the way I drove but a finish is
a finish. Dern near wiped out one of the Aero Boys when the dam phone rang.
