Race 1, Blackwood Rally Reversed
Thus, first event of XXL Rally is finished and now it is time to make some conclusions.
During pre-qualifying almost all racers drove LX6 for a first time, not to mention that
almost no one has any expirience in controlling this beast on rally-track.
Pre-qualifying showed constant decreasing of laptimes, ending with respectable times in top
of the grid.
Race start didnt escape mass collisions, which hit head and tail of grid. Head one was caused
by lag between CR|DeeS and RRT.Koffy, and the other major one happened in last turn of the same lap,
where group of racers exploded like a nuclear bomb.
Right after mass collisions dissolved, apparent race leader was determined - CR|DeeS. He made it to the
first place and began increasing pace right to the middle of the race.
evo.Raptor’s jumpstart allowed him to sneak to the 2nd place, which he was keeping till the 5th lap,
when RRT.Koffy and dSRC.Nazzard passed him, taking advantage of his error.
dSRC.Nazzard’s perfomance was very good, as expected by his pre-qualification results.
In the 2nd half of the race he was constantly swapping places with CR|DeeS, fighting for race leadership.
To the middle of the race aero.von_Neumann catched RRT.Koffy, and after few laps of intense
battles became 3rd, although RRT.Koffy couldnt avoid and dropped to 5th place,
making place for RRT.smith. After a few laps RRT.Koffy regained his 4th place.
8th lap: first lapped racers appeared, and they didnt really want to make place for leaders, at least
someones, sometimes. And their desperate struggle added some spicy flavour to the race, thats for sure.
Solid team’s perfomance allowed debuting Evolution Racing Team to gain lead in Team challenge.
But there are other teams who will do everything to improve their positions...

von_Neumann had a really good start but unfortunately crashed in the very
first turn. I was going sideways there aswell and a small lag might have
caused this nice flight into the sky after a slight touch with Koffy,
nothing serious, but you know..sometimes LFS just kicks you around like a
ball :). At the end of lap 1 a few other accidents "shuffled" the field and
if we were racing S2 75% of the field wouldn’t have crossed the finish-line
twice, scary isn’t it? :]
Due to a few mistakes of Dees I was able to catch up with him and during the
whole race I had a really nice fight for the 1. position. But I couldn’t
keep up on the last 3 laps and finished 2nd. Nice result, as it was the
first podium in this racing-club.
RRT.Koffy:
This race wasnt bad for me, maybe combination of hybrid and knobbly tyres helped, as I could decently accelerate on tarmac what allowed to make some passes.
RRT.smith:
I’m not completely satisfacted with race results, as I thing I could have finished a bit higher (strangely enough not all stupid mistakes was used in final turbo burnout), but what done is done, and it wasnt bad at all.
Was it funny? oh, yes...

That was THE
nfunny race!!!!! After i crashed on the first lap, i had to make some good times to catch Dees and Nazzard. But.... It is realy diffecult to drive your pace and not to crash. And that’s more diffecult if RRT.smith or RRT.Koffy are in front of you. So i had to concentrate me before they made big errors. That was nice peace of work to pass them (nice battle guys!!! Sorry for that crash Koffy). After i passed Koffy, i understood that i have no chance to improve my position. So i just had to make some good lap times. And i did.... All in one: Realy funy race!!! Thx to all!!!

The whole race except first laps was perfect. Second half of the race i was runing 11th and I was hopping that RRT.VOLK and RRT.BlicKrig will be making errors so i could overtake them. I’m happy that it’s happened. I want to say sorry to RRT.smith it is my fault that at the start we droped to the last positions.

When the race started I lost fun of this race. First lap was so rich with wreckings, accidents and crashes. Ok...after this lap I was about 12. Then I had some overtakes and became 8 and finally after losing of concentration I found myself on 9th place. Watching replay makes me satisfied...1st lap was circus or hell maybe...no
it surely was FUN !!!

Okay! I actualy knew that I had very little chance to compete with others. I didn’t have any expereince at all with LX and specially in the dirt! And my biggest training was just before the race, at free practise. But still, the race was totally fun.. I don’t know why I didn’t take the first race seriusly but oh well. I will do more trainig for the second race though.
